What we touch also touches us.
Touch is our first home.
Before we understood words, we understood caresses.
Before we recognized a face, we recognized a temperature.
The body learns the world through the skin, and some of that memory is never lost.
Sometimes we forget that touching ourselves is also a form of connection.
Applying a cream, placing a palm on the chest, massaging the face before sleep… these are small gestures, almost invisible, but charged with meaning. Touch stabilizes us, locates us, brings us back to the body.
At Fittonia, I have always felt that care is a language, and that touch is its most honest form. It does not lie, it does not exaggerate, it does not promise: it simply rests, accompanies, sustains.
Touch is presence, it is that instant where thought stops and the skin speaks.
When we apply a cream in a hurry, the body knows it. When we do it calmly, it knows that too. The skin recognizes the difference: what is rushed tenses it, what is gentle calms it.
And the truth is, what we touch also touches us. The texture of a product, the aroma that envelops it, the warmth of the hands… all of that creates a small bridge between what we experience outside and what we feel inside.
It is not about elaborate rituals or complex techniques. It is about allowing touch to return us to the body, and for the body to return us to ourselves.
Touch is a bond.
It is a language.
It is home.
